Christmas Party - Love to all

This year I finally got my act together and got some of the mates round for some Christmas fun. Apart from the great afternoon laze and chat sessions. We moved onto a game called "Suggestions" everyone writes down an action on a piece of paper and places it into a bowl. EG: Lick the ashtray. Ya pretty gross, but good fun if it keeps PC enough. So heres a photo count of what went down!

Woodstock 9: Van Coke Kartel

Fokofpolisiekar have taken a break and in their absence, two new bands have been formed by the members:Van Coke Kartel and Aking.

The black and white shot with Francois on guitar, made it as the main shot in a Woodstock 9 feature. The Tonight section of the Star. This is the first time I have had any of my work published, never mind a major newspaper. It's amazing and fucking insane. Very humbling. I'm so grateful to all those involved and I hope that in the future we may see more band photography grace the papers and magazines in this country and not just PR shots.

I'm going to try and get the original paper spread scanned- so that should be up soon!

Woodstock 9: Wickhead

Wickhead left South Africa a couple of months back and their first performance back in the country was Woodstock. Chatting to some of the guys, i saw how hard it is to make it big in L.A. Eating 2 minute noodles and scraping pennies. But as they say its so worth it. Things are happening, having won quite a big battle and attracting fans as they play. They are playing a couple of gigs before they return to record their new album.

Woodstock 9: Springbok Dude Girls

The Nudies are South African rockers, they've been around for ages, and now that they performing again, its awesome, a new album on they way - one that I'm sure many can't wait for! They rocked out on Friday night at Woodstock 9.

Woodstock 9: Daytime antics

To see these dudes made the day, seriously cool!

We went to Woodstock 9 this year down in Harrismith, roughly 3.5 hours drive from Jozi. It was very different but what got us through was the awesome Pizza on offer. SO heres a taste until I can upload all my work - Coming soon.
