Morning Mourning

So after the Matric Dance we went to a friends Birthday. They have an amazing house, with a crazy view. The next morning I tool these images. The second has such a polaroid feel, quite interesting.

Well I say Mourning, because there is a certain time frame for how long it will be around.

Crisis I'm not 18 anymore

We can all remember the time in school, waiting aching, for our time. The longing for more, the ideas of freedom, ideas we didnt even fully understand. Everything was one dimensional, what you saw, is what you believed, argued and fought for. Life moves on and as time moves to your side of the argument, you start to realize how simple most people were in school, but better yet how simple you may have been.

No saying that it was lack luster, just saying I'm feeling old okay.

Anyways, so Michelle, my girlfriends younger sister had her Matric Dance. Yes, I know, we all had super bad memories of this night. So she took Ninja Steve as here date, and then after all the photo's asked if I could take here in my pimping ride.

Now for those of you that know Lola ( My dirty dirty little citi golf) You know that it's just not that pimping - ha ha and here lay the sweet irony.

Well at least the kids had a sense of humour.

The trip home

Ah, man it's been so long since a post, but it always brings about some joy. Whne you look back on imported images, and smile. So the following posts are late, but important none the less.

From the Kruger/Hazeyview we went via Long Tom pass, a scenic route, ah man, I cant explain how I enjoy driving in the open. It was the perfect end to a long weekend!

Kruger Park

I went to the Kruger Park last week to go see my Dad. Happiest weekend in ages. So part of the trip was venturing into the 'wild" and scouting for animals. We spent most of the day sifting through golden wilderness, mused and content, yet with not much in the way of wildlife. Then, we spotted a Leopard, crouched and on the hunt. Although no blood and gore followed, the Leopard, did show itself in full, amazing. This is a start of many more trips into the peaceful spaces that surround the concrete jungle i choose to live in.

Tea in the garden

This photograph is of my grandmother. I love the old folks to bits, and should see them more often. they came past a while ago for some tea and cake, with a side of the usual. I've looking at new types of images i wish to create, this is a step in a different direction, but either way I love this image and the wall of light that was captured. it depicts a true sense of her.
